Our Trip to New Orleans - Part 2

July 06, 2013  •  Leave a Comment

New Orleans is a city rich in flora & fauna. We planned a day to visit the Louisiana swamps which was just a short drive from New Orleans and a tour we took to explore the endless waterways and breathtaking nature. As our boat floats under the shade of age old cypresses laden with spanish moss, we spot a raccoon. Along the way, we encountered swamp wildlife like alligators, &  different species of birds. It was an interesting day. We ventured back into the heart of the city to explore the wildlife within its confines. The Audubon Aquarium, with it's beautiful open ( although caged ) love birds flying everywhere was amazing. The Audubon Insectarium was a favorite with the "boys".

Would love to go back someday and explore some more.
